Our library lends Flip video cameras for students to capture footage for various course assingments (and whatever they want). We have two aging first gens and four second gens. I am considering investing in three of four iPod Touch (current gen) to suppliement (and replace) the Flips.
I am curious if anyone has any experience with the devices specifically for video and audio capturing. We have an iPad 2 that we check out and it seems to work well. However, it is much more expensive.

New devices promise to revolutionize education but they will have little impact unless their use is consistent with pedagogical approaches that address 21st century learning needs.
Educational reform? Most of the "revolutionary" educational changes that many of us have been calling for have already been around for quite a while - just talk a stroll down to the Kindergarten classes.

School is the time to start developing those skills.
