Hi , We are the Apple solution expert for education In Bangalore and are currently positioning Apple solution to the educational vertical . In Asia the apple penetration is slowly gaining momentum , however the ease of deployment of Apple server has encouraged us to suggest the institution to look at Apple . we would love have the advise of the team members considering the background
Hi Mohit. At NKU's college of informatics, we used Wikis and blogs in the classroom for a variety of purposes, including student blogging, detailing outcomes, news writing, and media publishing. Additionally, we saw some use of wikis for group documentation. We had very high hopes for Podcast Producer, but that initiative failed for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was Apple struggling to demonstrate that it would work in a homogeneous environment dominated by active directory. Though we had it running flawlessly in a test bed, we didn't get traction in a larger setting.
The death-knell was sounded when Apple cancelled Xserve.
Our IT dept. had just started to make an investment in Apple hardware and there were some gains in mindshare. But that was instantly and (IMHO) permanently destroyed with the elimination of XServe.
