David Wicks I wish Apple would have announced iBooks for Mac and PC as part of today's events. I can't help but think that part of Apple's success with iTunes was the ubiquity of the player.

A follow-up to my question. I bought two inexpensive cases for my wife and I.
The first is a Griffin Technology Elan Form Graphite ($7.16 on Amazon). It is a two-piece case that snaps and holds together well. The front and back bezel is raised slightly which allows me to place my phone face-down (my preference so that if something drops on the phone it is at least protected by the back case). I do find the raised bezel can make it challenging to highlight text at the edges of the screen. The case looks nice and seems to offer decent protection (though I've not felt the need to quantify that).
The second case is a Griffin iPhone 4 CDMA & GSM Reveal Case ($14 @ Amazon). It has a soft(er) rubber band around the edges of the phone and a clear plastic back. Front and back bezel is raised. It poses less of a problem with edge-of-screen text selection because the bezel flexes so you can get your finger right to the edge of the screen. The back plastic mars easily. My wife like this case better than the other as it isn'...    less

If not, you might consider using the included QuickTime Player to do the capture, and then a third-party service to ingest and host the videos.

Hi all. I'm looking for recommendations for the best case or bumper for my new iPhone 4S. I guess the first place to start would be: case or bumper?

I previously kept my iphone 3GS in my pocket a lot. I had a silicon case for it but hated how it was constantly coming off when I pulled it out of my pocket. So I put a very thin plastic case (called Nude) on it, and both marveled at how 3 cents of plastic could cost $20, but also how well it worked.

    Thanks in advance.

At NKU's college of informatics, we used Wikis and blogs in the classroom for a variety of purposes, including student blogging, detailing outcomes, news writing, and media publishing. Additionally, we saw some use of wikis for group documentation. We had very high hopes for Podcast Producer, but that initiative failed for a variety of reasons, not the least of which was Apple struggling to demonstrate that it would work in a homogeneous environment dominated by active directory. Though we had it running flawlessly in a test bed, we didn't get traction in a larger setting.

The death-knell was sounded when Apple cancelled Xserve.

Our IT dept. had just started to make an investment in Apple hardware and there were some gains in mindshare. But that was instantly and (IMHO) permanently destroyed with the elimination of XServe.  less

A follow-up to my question. I bought two inexpensive cases for my wife and I. The first is a Griffin Technology Elan Form Graphite ($7.16 on Amazon). It is a two-piece case that snaps and holds together well. My wife like this case better than the other as it isn't as slippery overall. I find both to be fairly priced and have held up well in the ~2 months we've had them. Both are slim enough that they fit our various charging docks without requiring case removal. This post was edited by Chris Brewer at December 26, 2011 7:16:49 AM PST
